Objective	Autodesk Revit can be used to draw the 3D model of a construction quickly, easily and realisticly during the design phase. This helps the architects to present what the construction will look like to the client at the very beginning and make necessary changes at the begining, reducing the possiblity to have mistakes found out in the design only during the construciton phase. After completing the course, the students will be able to : create various types of 3D drawings in the construction industry using AutoCAD. create simple building model drawings using Autodesk Revit .
Content	Students will learn about : AutoCAD 3D functions including : Views, UCS, 3D solids and surfaces, slicing 3D solids, moving, extruding 3D solids, union, subtraction and intersection of 3D solids, textures, saving a named view and a UCS. Using Autodesk Revit to create 3D models for the exterior of houses including: Modeling walls Modeling window openings and frames Modeling door openings and frames Modeling roofs Creating perspective views Rednering the model
Assessment	Complete and pass all assignments, the final project and pass the exam.
Target audience	Architects, engineers, drafts persons or anyone who would like to learn to create 3D drawings with AutoCAD for the construction industry.
Prerequisite	Having finished our "CM346 AutoCAD for the construction industry" course or equivalent. Please check the self-assessment.

Instructor	Graduated from the Industrial and Civil Construction Engineering program of the Civil Engineering department of the Guangdong Radio & TV university in 1991. Has been working with drafting related to civil engineering for 26 years, 24 of which were with AutoCAD. Has been teaching AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit for CPTTM since 2006.

Schedule	18:45-21:45, from May 30, 2023 to Jul 14, 2023 every Tuesday, Friday, plus Jul 18, 2023(Tuesday).

Certificate	Merit or completion on Certificate jointly issued by CPTTM and Autodesk (for students who have attained at least 80% attendance and passed all assessments).

Remark	The course duration includes lecture and lab. Meanwhile, students will be required to practice for 5-8 hours at home for every week. The examination will be held in the last session. The students are needed to submit the final project 4 weeks after the end of the course. Students who join this course will automatically grant the right to CPTTM for using their assignments and final projects as course promotion purpose.
