Objective	The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of part of a Energy Management System (EnMS) based on ISO 50001 and report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system in accordance with ISO 19011.
Content	This course incorporates presentations, workshops, role play and evening study, and takes a managerial perspective of the post of assessor. It culminates in practical (in-class performance and assignments) and written examinations: General introduction Energy management principles, vocabulary and ISO 50001 requirements Document review and audit planning Process auditing and audit skills Writing NC reports and audit reporting Audit follow up

Target audience	Staff who are charged with the responsibility to develop and maintain a EnMS. All EnMS auditors who wish to acquire an internationally recognized auditor status. Personnel who wish to explore career opportunities in management system auditing.
Prerequisite	CQI IRCA recommends that students are expected to have the following prior knowledge: Management System – The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle ISO 50001 - An understanding of the requirements of ISO 50001 and the commonly used energy management terms and definitions Energy management - the principles of fuel combustion, heat transfer and energy flow; the relevant sources of energy regulation, guidelines and standards; the typical methods and technologies for increasing efficiency They are subject to selection by CPTTM.

Certificate	Joint Certificate of Completion issued by CPTTM & DSPA (with at least 80% attendance, completing in-class exercises, and/or passing the assignments/test). Students who passed the continuous assessment and the one hour examination will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement by HKV Academy (requires 100% attendance), CQI IRCA Approved Training Partner 0118 5621.
