Objective | Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is an assessment of a company's impact on the environment, its responsibilities to society, and its internal management. It is an important metric for measuring corporate social responsibility performance. As sustainable development becomes a key development goal valued by societies worldwide, finance, investment, and ESG professionals must grasp the fundamental concepts, analytical tools, evaluation criteria of ESG, and their application in investment decision-making. The ESG Essentials® Certification launched by the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) provides basic concepts of ESG for individuals who wish to pursue a career or gain professional knowledge in the ESG field, so that they can provide transparent ESG advice to retail investors. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to better grasp the key points of each ESG knowledge area of this Certification. |
