Objective In this course, students will learn more complex Japanese sentence structure. Upon completion, students will be able to form sentences using different noun and adjective tenses, conjugating different verb forms, expressing wants/needs, making comparisons and also expressing themselves in more complex sentences.

  6. Expressing the purpose of an action
  7. Asking, expressing an instruction, encouraging/persuading

  9. Asking for/granting permission
  10. Verb conjugation

  • Prior completion of “Introductory Japanese II (LG90.2)” or
  • a Japanese background equivalent to a completion of “みんなの日本語 I (Minna no Nihongo I)” Chapter 1 to Chapter 9
