Objective	In this course, students will learn more complex Japanese sentence structure. Upon completion, students will be able to form sentences using different noun and adjective tenses, conjugating different verb forms, expressing wants/needs, making comparisons and also expressing themselves in more complex sentences.
Content	Expressing a direction Counting different objects (quantifiers) Past tense of noun sentences and adjective sentences Expressing a comparison Expressing wants/needs Expressing the purpose of an action Asking, expressing an instruction, encouraging/persuading Expressing an offer Asking for/granting permission Verb conjugation
Assessment	In-class exercises, assignments and exam
Target audience	Suitable for beginners who are interested in learning Japanese.
Prerequisite	Prior completion of “Introductory Japanese II (LG90.2)” or a Japanese background equivalent to a completion of “みんなの日本語 I (Minna no Nihongo I)” Chapter 1 to Chapter 9
