Objective	Understand the purpose, types, stages, and methodologies of penetration testing. Familiarize with the penetration testing process, scope definition, preparation work, techniques and tools for key stages such as information gathering, scanning, vulnerability analysis and exploitation, and post-exploitation.
Content	Ch.1: Penetration Testing Basics, Planning, Environment Setup, and Information Gathering Introduction to Penetration Testing Penetration Testing Process and Planning Environment Setup and Linux Basics Ch.2: Scanning, Vulnerability Analysis, and Exploitation Reconnaissance of Targets Scanning Vulnerability Analysis Vulnerability Exploitation Ch.3: Post-Exploitation, Password Attacks, and Web Application Testing Post-Exploitation Phase Password Attacks Web Application Testing
Assessment	Completion of assignments from the instructor.
Target audience	Information Security or Cyber Security Officers
Prerequisite	Familiar with common network protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SMB, etc. Have experience operating Linux and Windows. Have a certain understanding and modification ability of program code, such as Python, JavaScript, R, Ruby, PHP, etc.
