Title CCNA R&S: Introduction to Networks
Course code CM582.1-10-2020-C
Objective Begin preparing for a networking career with this introduction to how networks operate.  This first course in the 3-course CCNA R&S series introduces architectures, models, protocols, and networking elements . Students will get the chance to build simple local area networks (LANs) .  You’ll have a working knowledge of IP addressing schemes, foundational network security, and be able to perform basic configurations for routers and switches.
Content Semester 1 :
  • Configure switches and end devices to provide access to local and remote network resources.
  • Explain how physical and data link layer protocols support the operation of Ethernet in a switched network.
  • Configure routers to enable end-to-end connectivity between remote devices.
  • Create IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes and verify network connectivity between devices.
  • Explain how the upper layers of the OSI model support network applications.
  • Use security best practices to configure a small network.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity in a small network.
Assessment
  • For each semester, the average score of online module assessment is >= 60 and the score of online semester exam & practical exam for each semester is >= 60.

  • Those who would like to acquire the networking skills to enter the IT industry;
  • Those who would like to take the CCNA R&S certification.
    Prerequisite Having basic knowlege of network

Hold H3CNA, CCNA, CCNP and CISCO Certificate Instructor Trainer, Microsoft MOS master certification and won the Outstanding Teacher Award of Cisco Networking Academy. Have more than 10 years of network maintenance and professional training experience, has taught information technology courses for many companies and government departments.
