Title IPv6 Fundamentals, Design and Deployment
Course code CM413-04-2014-C
Objective This course provides baseline through advanced technical information and training on the next-generation Internet protocol, IPv6. The goal of this course is to prepare the learner for transitioning to IPv6 based networks and also how to co-exist IPv6 with the existing IPv4 network. The course encompasses design considerations, security considerations, configuration principles, configuring devices for IPv6 and IPv6 transition mechanisms. Upon finishing of this course, students would be able to:
  • Understand the following basics of IPv6
    • Basic theoretical knowledge of IPv6
    • IPv6 addressing
    • IPv6 routing
  • Understand the technologies and ways in transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6.

Target audience People of network and system aspects, that require understanding the IPv6 technologies and want to acquire some hands-on practice in IPv6 environment.
Prerequisite
  • Students should know how to operate the Cisco IOS, with certain years of experience in management and implementation of IT network and systems.
  • Students used to attend the Cisco CCNA/CCNP or courses related to networking technologies of the same level.(except the range of designs, such as Cisco CCDA)
