Objective On completion students will be able to create apps running on all kinds of Android phones, taking advantage of features such multimedia, sensor, camera, location service, bluetooth and etc. This allows you to create Android apps for sales or for your organization supporting a mobile workforce.

  • Configure development environment with Android Studio
  • Create your first mobile application (HELLO WORLD)
  • Deploy App to emulator/mobile device
  • Design UI interface and adapt to different device
  • Utilize multimedia function like Image, Music, and Video
  • Access database on mobile
  • Utilize map and location service
  • Utilize Service to execute background task
  • Create Widget to display instant information
  • Send Mobile Notification
  • Utilize Boardcast Receiver to response android system event
  • Implement Server communication with Web Service
  • Use camera function
  • Implement user interaction with various sensors
  • Data exchange with Bluetooth / Wifi Direct / Miracast
  • Simple Wearable device app
  • Publish app to Google Play
During the course, students will have to make a Android app project by using the knowledge they learned.
