Objective On completion the attendee will be able to install, configure and maintain a Linux system as a standalone computer or a network client. It corresponds to the LPI Exam 101 (except topic 103) and Exam 102 (except topic 113).

  • Using ssh, sftp, telnet, ftp clients

  • Configure SMB client
  • Configure PPP client
  • Perform basic performance, memory, and process management
  • Maintain system time
  • Configure USB devices
  • Manage kernel and kernal modules
Assessment There will be a final exam on the last session.
Target audience IT technicians who need to administer a Linux Server.
Prerequisite Having attended the LPI-Linux Fundamentals course or equivalent.

Instructor Roy is an experienced system architecture, who holds RHCA, LPIC-2, CCNA, H3CNE, MCITP, OCP , VCP, Intel Hadoop certificates. He had taught the Linux courses from 2012 at CPTTM.
