Objective On completion, the students will be familiar with the basic operation of a computer and know the basic work processing skills.
Content
    Basic operation of Computer :
  • Power-up and shutdown, soft-reset and hard-reset of the Computer.
  • Using Windows XP :
  • Logging in and out.
  • Running programs from the Start Menu, switching between programs.
  • Closing, maximizing, minimizing and resizing windows
  • Using Windows Explorer to browse, create, copy and delete files.

  • Using Microsoft Word :
  • Getting familiar with the function of the various keys e.g. Enter, Backspace, Tab, Shift, etc.
  • Creating, saving and opening a document, printing a document.
  • Typing basic documents with paragraph.
  • Changing fonts size and appearance.
  • Copying and pasting contents.

Schedule 19:00-22:00, from Feb 26, 2007 to Apr 2, 2007 every Monday.
Fee MOP680. Those who pass the assessments and whose attendance is 80% or greater will be reimbursed 100% of the fee; Those who fail in the assessments but whose attendence is 80% or greater will be reimbursed 75% of the fee; Those who pass the assessments but whose attendance is 50% or greater but less than 80% will be reimbursed 75% of the fee.
